“101 Queensmill Road was the very first property that I bought. It was just an unmodernised house which I saw the full potential in. True story – it ended up being the home of Mr & Mrs David Olivier (Son of Sir Laurence & Joan Plowright). I sold it to them once completed – it became their family home.  35 Years ago, I think it cost somewhere in the region of £70,000 and I sold it for circa £150,000. We fully extended it which included a Ground Floor extension and a full Loft extension. In those days, basements were unheard of. It was my very first high-quality development and that set the trend for the types of developments I wanted to be responsible for – it had marble floors which were very upmarket at the time. I look back on some of my very first developments and where it all started for me and then I compare it to some of my more recent projects – it’s an incredible personal story that I am proud to still be writing as a Property Developer.”

Thinking back over the last 3 decades, Lee recalls some of his more recent work – under the Banner of FJ DEVELOPMENTS and working for Clients in the Design & Build of their family homes:

“78 Ellerby Street was a fabulous & exciting project. An end of Terrace, semi-detached Victorian house on arguably Bishops Park’s most Premier street. A completely unmodernised house , we managed to get planning permission to pretty much double the size of it – taking up to about 4,800 sq ft. It was a monster of a house. Fully extended on all levels, we then interior designed it to a very high spec and it really was and still is, one of a kind for the Area. Typically, we ended up selling it to a very high-profile Brazilian/Chelsea Footballer – which is not uncommon for the Bishops Park Estate. It has become in my opinion, the most desirable place to live in SW6, largely down to how much the Park itself has improved and how that contributes to this leafy part of Fulham. “
